Jim Liu, MD

Dr. Jim Liu is a physician board certified in internal medicine and has diverse and in-depth experience with both outpatient and inpatient medicine. He zestfully practices hospitalist medicine in Naples, FL. He attended Harvard University for his undergraduate degree and premedical studies and graduated with honors. He received his medical doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh, and has engaged in academic research covering hypertension and blood clotting disorders. He also completed his residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is a published author, including writing for the American Journal of Hypertension, a peer reviewed journal. He has been selected by his peers in medicine for the Arnold P Gold Foundation Humanism Honor society, a recognition for those in the medical field demonstrating integrity, excellence, and compassion.

His call to medicine came after witnessing first-hand the tragic World Trade Center towers collapse while he was working in NYC in 2001, and then focused on a lifelong effort in helping others. He wholeheartedly advocates patient health and safety, especially prevention, and has had a keen interest in community and general medicine. He helped guide his own mother through her medical journey with thymus cancer, an extremely rare condition, and believes that his patients should receive timely and correct diagnosis for their medical conditions as well the appropriate treatments. He has helped patients with lifestyle focused medicine and achieving balance in their quest for health and quality of life.
